You can encounter different issues when recharging your wallet depending of the situation.
1- You are reaching the maximum capacity of your recharge wallet
To avoid money laundering and tax evasion, we are required to impose a limit to how much money your recharge wallet can hold at any given time.
The current limit is set at 350$/€.
That means if you try to make a payin that would make your wallet go over this limit, the transfer will fail. As example, trying to payin 200$ while your wallet already contains 200$ will not succeed.
We are looking into expanding this limit and once this have been validated we will update this information.
2- Your bank is blocking the transfer
If you are located outside the European Union, or in the USA or Canada, you may experience issues with the payment process. As Equinox is a European company, some banks may incorrectly flag the transaction as fraudulent.
While the issue is often resolved by trying again, some banks may continue to block the transaction. We’ve implemented certifications to reduce these occurrences, but ultimately this is governed by the banks’ security policies.
We recommend trying a different credit card or attempting the transaction again.
As our platform grows, more financial institutions will recognize Equinox as a trusted partner, and these issues should gradually disappear.
