When you scan a unique card, the system looks for the picture of the card in our database to show it in your collection, but when the file is not available, it replaces it with the Altered Cardback or the English version if available.
When we create thousands of cards for a set, there are two steps to be completed:
- creating the PDF for the printing of the cards
- creating the picture of the cards for the digital services
As this is a very complex task, it sometimes happens that the picture of the card is not created properly, and then the digital services are unable to show it in your collection or in the marketplace.
Fortunately, this is only a visual issue that only affects the visualization of the card in our system. All the other services like Board Game Arena or the print-on-demand service are fine and able to use the data we have in the system.
When this happens to one of your cards, you can create a ticket requesting an update to the picture and we'll process it.
Meanwhile the effects of the cards are still visible in the card's page.
This issue can also happen after the release of a new set when the system is very busy generating PDFs and data for all the users ordering print-on-demand. In any case, the new uniques of a newly released set are processed rapidly, and this should be solved in a few days.
